About Me

I am the proud daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants, the youngest of three siblings, a proud aunt to two nieces, and a dog mom to a medium-sized poodle. I have a huge family with more than ten aunts and uncles and too many first, second, and third cousins to count.

Me and my poodle, Lila.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in engineering in 2012 and 2016, respectively, and am currently pursuing a doctorate in engineering. As a doctoral student, I worked as a graduate assistant for a science and engineering honors program, where I served as an adviser and teacher to undergraduate students and reviewed college applications for acceptance into the program. While I was pursuing my master’s degree, I worked as a quality engineer for a manufacturing company and, later on, as a consultant for an oil and gas company, where I evaluated chemical markets, chemical production technologies and served as an independent engineer for the construction of chemical plants.
